Immerman 3/1/00 9:44 PM I'm gonna look after proofreading

looking at the things TAM switches - I think
your desriptions are kind of confusing I'd
                                  suggest the convention -

the .tc file is the TC (and don't refer to it
as a text file, you can mention that in the
how-to section), the .ufos are data files

Recon 3/1/00 9:46 PM Ok, so axe the "text file" references for the
folks who don't need to know...
                                  Gotcha.

Immerman 3/1/00 9:50 PM might consider making the installation
instructions for TA:M compatible mods just
"unzip into the TA-Mutation folder" (or
UfoManager as the case may be)

Though I guess that could start building up
clutter if they tried it with a non-compatible
                                  mod

Immerman 3/1/00 9:51 PM You might consider removing all (or almost
all) the technical information form the "What
                                  does TA:M switch" section

Recon 3/1/00 9:51 PM Yep.
You really gotta hand-hold these people.
I'll try to make it not so verbose, I have an
                                  idea for that.

Immerman 3/1/00 9:52 PM excellent

Recon 3/1/00 9:52 PM Hmm, where should that info go?
In the "how do I make..." section?

Immerman 3/1/00 10:11 PM custom exe warning-

it's not because TA:M could become unstable, I
seriously doubt that it would (it closes
immediately after launching the exe), It's
because an unscrupulous ass could write a
little exe that formats your harddrive and
masquerade it as a custom TA exe

Recon 3/1/00 10:12 PM Oh is that it?
I didn't even know what a "custom TC exe" was,
so I made a guess. [grin]

Immerman 3/1/00 11:52 PM Oh, one other suggestion (aren't I a joy :
P), temporarily change your windows settings
for screen shots so that the button faces, etc
are brighter, that black-on-dark-grey is a bit
hard on the eyes, and numbskulls that don't
know you can change the settings will wonder
                                  why their colors are different.

Immerman 3/1/00 11:52 PM Heck, If you get bored and want to do
something really fancy - take full a
screenshot of the TAM window and add little
arrows etc telling what each button, tab, and
menu is for. You could even set it up as a
image map (or I could if you don't know how)
so that clicking on one of them would jump to
                                  more in-depth information.

One warning - the multiplayer game procedure
will change drastically by v1.0, so don't
waste too much time on it
